Skin Texture

New York Laser & Skin Care

Uneven skin texture can result from a combination of factors including acne, sun damage, aging, or environmental stressors. Rough patches, enlarged pores, fine lines, and irregular surface tone can affect the overall appearance and radiance of the skin.

Causes and Contributing Factors

Changes in collagen and elastin, accumulated dead skin cells, and past inflammation all contribute to textural irregularities. Lifestyle factors such as sun exposure, smoking, and inadequate skincare can exacerbate the condition. Addressing texture is key to achieving smooth, luminous skin.

Treatment Options

At New York Laser & Skin Care, Dr. Kauvar uses advanced treatments such as laser resurfacing, chemical peels, and microneedling to improve skin texture. Each plan is personalized to your skin type and goals, promoting smoother, more even, and rejuvenated skin over time.
