One of Dr. Kauvar’s lifelong pursuits has been advancing the care of patients through medical research. Starting in high school, Dr. Kauvar worked on a method to measure white blood cell movement (chemotaxis) in disease states, an achievement that earned her a spot as a national finalist in the Westinghouse (Intel) Science Talent Search competition.
Since becoming a dermatologist, Dr. Kauvar has been a Principal Investigator in over 50 clinical trials in all phases of development and the FDA approval process.
Under the direction of Dr. Arielle Kauvar, the Skin Research Center at New York Laser & Skin Care evaluates new and emerging technologies, devices and topical products for the treatment of dermatologic disease and skin problems.
The NYLSC Skin Research Center has a dedicated clinical research team who conduct multiple ongoing studies. The results of these studies are published in medical journals and presented at national and international meetings. Our center performs the full scope of clinical and laboratory sample collection, including blood and urine sample collection, tissue biopsies, Canfield medical high resolution imaging systems and electronic data capture. We work closely with several independent Institutional Review Boards and streamline the approval process of new research protocols.
Our participation in research enables us to provide our patients with the most advanced care using the newest treatments and latest technologies available.
We currently have a clinical trial going on, so please email us or call 212-249-9440 to see if you qualify for the new study.
