Laser Hair Removal

New York Laser & Skin Care

Laser hair removal is a highly effective, long-term solution for reducing unwanted hair on the face and body. Using advanced laser technology, this treatment targets hair follicles with precision, helping to minimize regrowth while preserving the surrounding skin. It offers a refined alternative to shaving, waxing, and other temporary methods, leaving skin smoother and more consistently maintained.

How Laser Hair Removal Works

The laser emits concentrated light energy that is absorbed by pigment within the hair follicle. This energy converts to heat, disabling the follicle’s ability to produce new hair while leaving the surrounding tissue unharmed. Because hair grows in cycles, a series of treatments is recommended to effectively target follicles during their active growth phase.

What to Expect

Treatments are performed in-office and are generally quick and well tolerated, often described as a mild snapping sensation. There is little to no downtime, and most patients can resume normal activities immediately. Over the course of several sessions, hair becomes finer, lighter, and less dense, resulting in smoother skin with long-lasting reduction.
